Courtenay Sport's Astra VXR driven by Adrian Churchill returned to winning ways over the recent Dunlop Sport Maxx Production Cup Race Weekend at Pembrey in South Wales.
Carrying 27kg of success ballast Adrian put the car on Pole for Race One, nearly 0.7 seconds ahead of the second place Astra VXR (also mapped by Courtenay Sport) driven by Ryan Bensley.
Over the weekend in the bright sunshine of South Wales Adrian went on to record 3 wins and took 3 fastest laps to stretch out a healthy lead in the championship, despite carrying maximum success ballast of 45kg for Races Two and Three.
The Courtenay Sport mapped car of Ryan Bensley finished second, third and fourth respectively in the three races.
In Class A, Courtenay Sport now sit 46 points clear of second place man Bensley, and in the overall championship we lead by 34 points over Class B's Andrey Magiy in his Mini Cooper S.
Class B's Kevin George, running a Corsa 1.6 Turbo (again mapped by Courtenay Sport) took pole for Race One and 3 Class B wins.
A huge congratulations to everyone in the team for their hard work, thank you to everyone who came and supported and especially to Adrian for pedalling so well.
