| The Sprint Ethos..... The “Sprint” designation is a name that has been attached to a number of GM products over the years. For me it evokes memories of the early eighties, when as a freshly licensed teenager with a Nova SR, my dream was to own a Corsa A / Nova Sprint with its extreme body kit, uprated suspension and the icing on the cake a ”Fuel Injected” 1.3 engine! 25 years later we have re-used the Sprint name on 2 current VXR’s; Astra and Corsa. The aim was to further enhance the dynamics of these models for fast road and track day use. To this end we have uprated the suspension and brakes and reduced the weight of each car by nearly 60 kilo’s. To complement this we have uprated the engines of both cars with a larger intercooler, an improved inlet path, a free flowing exhaust system and finishing with a bespoke remap. Jon Shield |
