Wossner Forged Piston and Forged Steel Rod Package.
The pistons feature a unique Moly coating on the skirts which allows the builder to run a much closer piston to bore tolerance than might be required on other piston makes. This helps remove the slapping noise during cold start, common place among engines running forged pistons due to larger then OE bore clearances.
The piston crowns are mirror polished to better resist detonation on a high performance engine. Mirror polishing allows a more even spread of heat inside the chamber which will help prevent “hot spots” on piston crowns.
Includes piston rings and gudgeon pins. No need to purchase extras, this package allows you to fit Forged pistons seamlessly.

Package includes Uprated Forged Steel Rods complete with ARP Rod Bolts.
Forged Steel Con Rods are stiffer and more ridged which makes them better suited to high power/higher torque engines for example high power turbo builds. Our lightweight steel connecting rods are forged from 4340 high tensile steel. Heat treated and fully shot-peened for higher fatigue strength. Small end bushed for fully floating pin and big end fitted with high quality ARP fasteners.

Important Note:
For any engine rebuild we recommendand use oversize pistons (79.5mm) which require a mild rebore to ensure correct piston to bore clearance to allow the pistons and bores bed in correctly.
Using standard sized pistons (79mm)inbores that have already been subject to wear (i.e. use) or boresthat have not been machined to the specified clearancesof the pistons, will lead to pistons and bores not bedding in properly and an engine that may be subject to high oil consumption.
Standard sized pistons recommended for use in Brand new engines only.
